Melinda Smith, M.D. graduated from the University of Iowa in 1988 and completed her residency in both Internal Medicine and Pediatrics at St. Louis University and Cardinal Glennon’s Children’s Hospital in St. Louis.She is board certified in both Internal Medicine and Pediatrics. She is a member of the American College of Physicians and American Academy of Pediatrics.
Dr. Smith provides comprehensive medical care to all ages, with special interests in children’s health, women’s health and cardiology.
Melinda Smith, M.D. has been in practice since 1992. She was was raised and still resides in Muscatine.

Cynthia M. Burr
A.R.N.P., F.N.P.
Cynthia M. Burr ARNP FNP is a graduate of University of Iowa college of Nursing, with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She also holds a Master of Science in Nursing & Family Medicine from the University of Illinois Chicago Nurse Practitioner program. She is certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners as a Family Nurse Practitioner, and is an Advanced Practice Nurse. Ms. Burr, ARNP, holds membership in the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, Sigma Theta Tau International, Iowa Nurse Practitioner Society, Quad City Advanced Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant Alliance—Board Member, and University of Illinois- Quad City Region Alumni, Board Member.
Ms. Burr, ARNP has previously practiced at Muscatine General Hospital Intensive Care Unit and Operating Room, University of Iowa Hospital Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit, and as a Nurse Practitioner at Community Health Care in the Quad Cities. Joining the practice of Melinda A. Smith MD, she specializes in Family Practice providing comprehensive medical care to all ages.

Internal Medicine
Our Internal Medicine physicians are available when you have an illness, need a routine health test or just want to consult with someone about your health concerns. The goal of the practice is to provide high quality preventive care to our patients and to treat their acute and chronic illnesses. We care for patients with many common health problems, such as high blood pressure, diabetes, asthma, arthritis and heart disease. We also are experienced in the diagnosis and treatment of a variety of uncommon illnesses.
Our health care providers are committed to creating long-term patient/provider relationships. In visiting the practice, you will always see a familiar face.
We are located in the Muscatine Medical Center—convenient for Muscatine residents and those who live in surrounding communities.
